HOW MEMBERS OPT IN TO TEXTS

Before anything else, the website asks for the visitor’s full date of birth. Anyone under 21 cannot continue. On a shared device, the pop-up sign-up iPad or a brand ambassador’s phone handed to a customer, it asks every new person again before the form.

Members join at harvestclub.thegrowercircle.com/join. The same form is used inside the Harvest Club iOS and Android apps and on a person’s own phone after they scan a QR code. A personal sign-up link we email them, and a brand ambassador’s phone or pop-up tablet that the person fills in themselves, show the same texting box. On a sign-up link, the mobile number the texts would go to is shown on the form above the box, and the person can change it.

Each form has an optional texting checkbox. It is unchecked by default and it is not required to join. It is a separate box from the one every member ticks to confirm they are 21 or older. This is the box exactly as members see it, with its links to the texting terms and the privacy policy:

Signed-in members can turn member alerts on or off any time with the “Member alert texts” switch on the app’s Account screen. The switch sits under the same words as the join box:

Codes are separate from member alerts. On the sign-in and phone-verification screens a member types their number and taps to get a code. This line sits under the phone field:

When texting is unavailable, the code goes to the email on the account instead, and the button reads EMAIL ME A CODE INSTEAD.

Any of these words opts out: STOP, STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, QUIT, OPTOUT and REVOKE. START, YES and UNSTOP opt back in.
